A few years back, one bad-smelling apartment and a lot of trial-and-error candle kits from the craft store turned into a genuine hobby. Friends kept asking for "just one more" of whatever scent was on the stove that week, and eventually a hobby became a small batch, and a small batch became Ember & Oak.
We still test every new scent the same way we did on day one — in our own home, on a Sunday, until it's right.
